Logo Exploration
Our Creative Director, Natalie Kent, recently reflected on a past professor who required them to sketch 50 logos for each of their projects.
"...the clock was ticking. My only option was to start sketching, so out came the bad ideas. And iterations of those bad ideas. Then a couple good ideas started to pop up. Then a really good idea popped up. More bad. More good. By the end of the day I had 30 and a few great ideas, and by the end of the next day I had 50 and three really strong concepts, far more than if I had put restrictions on myself and limited my sketches to only the “good” ideas. By the end, I was surprised how much stronger my final submission was."
Her takeaway: Don’t wait for inspiration to strike. Create even when you don’t feel like it.
