Evrmore –?archetypes for an AI-based app
Evrmore is a New York startup founded by Ivy Mahsciao, a product manager with a background in applied neuroscience and psychology. The application, based on the operation of artificial intelligence, is a form of virtual diary that uses the user's voice and reflections to help reinforce positive behavior and build mental resilience. The main goal of this project is to turn young adults' everyday experiences into key moments of self-discovery. Evrmore was already recognized and appreciated by:
the Social Dilemma, as the Changemaker
the 27th Webby Awards, as an honoree
Anthem Awards 2022 as the winner (Silver, category: Innovation/Responsible technology)
and more.
An important part of this journey are the Archetypes, for which I created a set of illustrations and icons. These elements were prepared as an integral part of the app layout, but also for the promotional purposes. While working on them, I had a lot of creative freedom – but the general idea was to create something futuristic and aesthetically related to the world of magic and games (discovery, quests, unblocking hidden powers).
Elements
My role was to prepare all illustrative assets from scratch, including:
designing characters, starting from sketches, moodboards, etc.
defining and extending color palette, based on the provided color samples
creating additional layers for potential animations or promotional materials
working on a set of icons that will correspond with character illustrations, but also work well separately, as the app elements
Work in progress
I started working on this project in 2020, when I used to experiment with watercolor elements, combined with digital media. In this case I also created many hand painted details that later became the base for my images. Just as Evrmore combines the world of feelings and thoughts with AI related solutions, my process at that time combined two worlds – digital and analog.
Continuation
At the next stage of my work I also created a set of illustrations for the website – more here soon, in part 2 of this case study.
