Pawty Walkers (Dog Walking App)
Pawty Walkers Dog Walking App
Pawty Walkers is my first design project...ever. I created the design for this particular app based off of client research, based off of a persona, as well as market research.
User Persona
I created this persona based off of myself. Being completely new this industry (currently a licensed Cosmetologist) I wanted to create a persona that almost reflected a "beginners app" something simple that would accomplish what the user needs. My main goal for this particular project was honestly just completing the project in a timely manner. Being new to this field I knew my timing would not be as quick as someone who has spent years in the field, so I created Wanda to give me my first experience designing something, that wouldn't be too difficult for starting out.
Research
For the market research I downloaded multiple dog walking apps, to preview and study their design as well as their flow. In addition to researching existing apps, I also did a few research interviews for the client. Through these interviews I realized this particular client was not very tech-savy and just wanted something basic.
User flow
As with the the entire aspect of the app, I kept the user flow as simple as possible.
Wireframe
Again, basic simple design. However, as I started actually applying designs and building the app out I realized I would need to add a few things to make the app more functional.
Initial design
This is my beginning design. After receiving feed back on the design I realized some things were confusing in the design aspect such as; Input elements resembled buttons, spacing wasn't consistent, and some of the colors clashed.
Final design and protoype
I adjusted some of the design issues and created a protoype.
