Vet Friendly

Vet Friendly is an app for dogs with any special needs requiring a veterinarian to walk or babysit. The idea came after feedback from some dog owners since it was hard for them to find someone who could help them with their pets.

"Our dog is very shy with people he doesn't know, so it can take him a while to get used to strangers. I think it's hard to find dog walkers, we had a hard time finding one when ours moved out of the city, and it's hard too when you only need it sometimes if you don't have a consistent schedule."

The app has the objective to be straightforward: you select the service, filter the dog's needs and select the veterinarian you would like to schedule. With a few simple steps, the user can focus on choosing the vet that can help him - since a dog with special needs can be, sometimes, a full-time job.

Using only illustrations and clean visuals, I wanted the design to focus on the service while being friendly at the same time (no race or breed is associated with the branding - everyone is welcome!). The use of neutral colours on the branding gives the illustration a more significant chance (or pop) for the user to connect with the app and shows the seriousness and formality of a "medical clinic." I wanted the app to balance warm and welcome with seriousness and professionalism.
