How to Let Your Mind Wander.
Illustration inspired by The New York Times' article titled “How to Let Your Mind Wander”.
Research suggests that people with freely moving thoughts are happier. Easy, repetitive activities like walking can help get you in the right mindset.
For this one I visualized a character facing the beach. Her hair is semi-transparent and so, through it, we can see another figure, a copy of the character in question, walking towards the shoreline.
Empty beaches always feel like places of escape and peace. Meditative sound of waves crashing onto the sea shore, the feeling of soft sand beneath your feet. A perfect place to release and let go. I’ve used a gentle color palette for this piece to translate a dreamy wandering state of mind.?
